Structural properties of Fe<sub>49</sub>Ni<sub>49</sub>Ti<sub>2</sub> alloy deformed by high pressure torsion

Tetrataenite (L10-FeNi) is a promising candidate for use as permanent magnet free of rare-earth elements because its favorable properties such high magnetic anisotropy and coercivity. We report on structural Fe49Ni49Ti2 alloy after severe plastic deformation (SPD) by pressure torsion (HPT) technique. The main characteristics bulk HPT materials were determined. As result deformation, all samples obtained with concentration defects stressed state. Low-temperature annealing was used to accelerate the kinetics phase formation possible appearance nuclei stable chemically ordered L10 tetrataenite. Our research shows that it premature talk about even small amount L10. Additional needs be done.
